AEO vs SEO in India: What Should Your Business Invest in First?
Choose between technical fixes, commercial pages and AI visibility work using a practical priority framework for Indian businesses.

AEO and SEO usually share the same starting point
An Indian business does not need to abandon SEO to work on answer engine optimization. Both benefit from accessible pages, useful explanations, accurate business information and evidence that supports the offer. Start with the bottleneck closest to a qualified enquiry. If your service pages are missing or the form does not work, publishing an AI-focused article is unlikely to be the highest priority.
Use three diagnostic questions
Can search engines access the pages that matter? Can a buyer understand the offer without calling for basic information? Can your team identify which enquiries are commercially relevant? A “no” to the first question suggests technical work. A “no” to the second suggests commercial content. A “no” to the third suggests measurement and sales handoff. Many sites need a combination, but sequencing prevents the budget from disappearing into unrelated tasks.
What a useful first month might contain
As an illustrative plan, begin with indexability and canonical checks, test the lead form on a phone, agree one priority service and improve its page. Use customer questions to produce one supporting article and link it to that service. Record the baseline before publishing. This sequence creates something measurable without implying that one month is enough to establish rankings or AI citations. The actual scope depends on the site and implementation access.

Compare proposals by deliverables
Ask whether the fee covers diagnosis, writing, design, development, publishing and reporting, or just recommendations. Ask who supplies product facts, approves claims and fixes technical issues. A low-cost proposal can become expensive if your team must do most of the implementation. Conversely, paying for a large publishing volume makes little sense when existing pages already attract visitors but fail to explain scope, pricing or the next step.
Understand what the package price means
P2V Labs currently lists a Search & AI Visibility retainer from ₹25,000 per month and a Website + AEO/SEO project from ₹75,000 on its packages page. These are published starting points, not an estimate for every website. Confirm the current scope and quote before commissioning work. A rebuild and an ongoing retainer solve different problems; request a reasoned recommendation before choosing either.
What should count as progress?
Track completed improvements, indexed commercial pages, relevant non-brand queries and qualified enquiries alongside any repeated AI answer checks. Avoid judging a new programme on one keyword or one screenshot. Google’s guidance says its AI search features do not require a special optimization layer beyond sound search fundamentals. Use that as a useful filter when a proposal promises secret schema or guaranteed inclusion.
Bring a focused brief
Send your site URL, best-selling service, target customer, delivery geography and the last few recurring sales questions. If enquiry volume has fallen, include the date range and any website or tracking changes. P2V Labs can then discuss whether technical SEO, answer-led content or conversion improvements should come first.
